Julien enjoyed learning different names of things in his bedroom last week, so I went over these again to see if he remembered which he did. I then put them into sentences eg. close the door, throw the ball, play the guitar. He then gave me the orders and I checked him for pronunciation.
This week we'll go back over those short sentences. Last week he made a trap on Minecraft, so this week I have a video for him which explains how to make 10 different traps. I also have another video which shows 5 things to make on Minecraft for beginners. He might find that interesting.

Julien is still very much into Minecraft so we'll use this to learn different words and expressions about the game.
He likes blowing up stuff, so he was learning phrases like, I want to make an explosion with TNT, I need more TNT, It's getting dark, I need to go inside etc. He learns ways to communicate through simple converstaion while playing. Oh look, hold on a minute, just one minute. Don't move! I need a weapen or a sword, I need food etc.
We had an extra hour this week so he showed me Clash of Clans, but there wasn't much opportunity to learn english so I got out my post-it pad and I wrote different vocabulary and stuck it to objects in his bedroom. I played a game where he would point to the object that I said. He took all the notes off the objects and I tried him to see if he remembered the names of the objects. This was a fun activity to end the lesson.
